Developmental Education

Developmental Educators (DE’s) are university-qualified professionals with a degree in disability studies or an equivalent qualification. Developmental Education is a self-regulating allied health profession, recognised by the NDIS and listed under Capacity Building supports.

DEs work alongside individuals and their key support networks to promote lifelong learning and independence. As disability specialists, we use evidence-based approaches to support people across the lifespan, ensuring the best possible outcomes for individuals and their families.

DE’s can support with:

  • Emotional regulation

  • Social skills and communication

  • Transition support

  • Interoception

  • Executive functioning

  • Advocacy

  • Job and employment related skills

  • Independent living skills

  • Behavioural strategies

  • Play and friendship skills

  • Assessments
